Release of Teams
Hello Everyone,
We hope this email finds you well, and we're sure you're keen to hear what's going on with our plans in the FRSL at the moment.
The teams for this season are accessible via a link that was sent to your email. Please check whether you have received it.
We've attempted to reconcile team strengths, requests and a variety of other factors when making these teams and feel that these are the most suited to making these next few months a positive experience for all. That said, we anticipate there may have been things we've missed, so please get in touch if you spot something out of order.
It should be noted that we've opted for even teams as much as possible. We recognise this places a strain on who can play with who and particularly team sizes, but we have prioritised everyone playing each week over byes. The ever-present threat of cancellations due to wet weather and the desire for everyone to play, that this is the best outcome. This has implications for pitch sizes, game lengths, fixtures and duties.
All players are required to provide for themselves shin pads, black socks and black shorts. Men will have socks provided to them.
Fixtures will hopefully be out within the next few days so that you have time to plan ahead.
One final thing: our usual pool of volunteers has been significantly affected by COVID, changed availabilities and general upheavals in commitments. If you are able, we urge you to make yourself available in a volunteer capacity to be assistant referees, referees or coaches.
We're looking forward to kick-off on the 17th of April and pray for God's blessings on our preparations to this end.
Kind regards,
FRSL Committee
